Janet Penfold trained and qualified, at the Body Control Pilates school in London. She has her intermediate and advance matwork certificate and Reformer 1 certificate, is a member of the Body Control Pilates Association and on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP). Janet has practised Pilates for over 10 years. She has always been involved in dance and exercise, and previously taught aerobics and floor-based exercises. She initially took up Pilates to help with back pain, due to too many hours sitting at a computer! But it soon became crucial to her overall sense of well being.
She is also a jazz/funk singer.
Pilates is a balanced blend of strength and flexibility training which
improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without
bulking up, by concentrating on your core stability providing you with a
comprehensive all over workout for your body, suitable for all ages and all
